Hyundai India has officially launched the taxi version of Hyundai Nios and also the taxi version of Hyundai Aura. Hyundai Nios is an entry-level hatchback from the Hyundai brand and a compact sedan from the Hyundai brand. Hyundai Motor India Limited Officials have launched cars like Prime SD and Prime HB on 30 December 2025 to enter the commercial segment market so that they can dominate the taxi market of India and become more competitive.

Hyundai I10 Nios and Aura launched for Taxi operators
Hyundai Motor India has Introduced fleet-specific models of the Grand I10 Nios and Aura for commercial and Taxi Operators. These Vehicles are Part of Hyundai’s Prime Taxi Series, which marks the company’s Entry into the Organised taxi and ride-hailing space. The Prime HB is based on the Grand I10 Nios hatchback, while the prime SD is Derived from the aura Sedan. Both Vehicles are Designed for high-octane use, with a focus on low costs, reliable performance and long Durability.
Hyundai I10 Nios and Aura Engine Options
Both the Hyundai Prime HB and Prime SD commercial vehicles will be powered by the same engine with same powertrain. Both the Nios and Aura come with a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol 4-cylinder engine.

The Nios Taxi and Aura Taxi models are not designed for extreme power and performance but for a decent engine power, better fuel economy, and good operating cost.

Ex-showroom price of Prime HB hatchback starts from ₹5.99 Lakh. Prime SD sedan is priced starting at ₹ 6.89 lakh, ex-showroom.
Prime HB Mileage
The mileage of Prime HB can be from 12 Kmpl to 14 Kmpl in the city in Petrol Mode, whereas on the highways it can give from 16 Kmpl to 18 Kmpl in Petrol Mode, whereas with CNG fuel the mileage increases from 23.65 Km/kg to 25.52 Km/kg in the city, on the highway the mileage can go from 25.72 Km/Kg to 27.32 Km/kg.

Accurate on-road prices for both models will also vary by city and state.

Prime SD Mileage
Mileage of Prime SD is a little less as compared to Prime HB, with petrol fuel it can give mileage ranging from 12 Kmpl to 13.78 Kmpl in city, on highways it can give mileage ranging from 15 Kmpl to 17.58 Kmpl in petrol mode, whereas with CNG it can give mileage ranging from 22.15 Km/Kg to 24.18 Km/kg in city area, on highway it can give mileage ranging from 24.90 Km/kg to 27.10 Km/kg.
