Best Car Insurance Providers in India: How to Compare

There is no single best car insurer for everyone. The right provider for you has a strong claim-settlement record, cashless garages near your home, the add-ons you need at a fair price, and helpful service. Compare quotes on the same IDV and add-ons before deciding.

What to compare

  • Claim settlement experience: look at the insurer's published data and IRDAI reports.
  • Network of cashless garages in your city, including your preferred dealer.
  • Premium for identical cover — same IDV, same add-ons, same NCB.
  • Add-ons offered: zero depreciation, engine protection, roadside assistance, return to invoice.
  • Ease of claims: app-based surveys, 24x7 support and turnaround time.

Comprehensive vs third-party

Third-party cover is mandatory by law and pays for damage to others. Comprehensive (or own-damage plus third-party) cover protects your own vehicle as well and is strongly recommended for newer cars.

Our approach

We do not rank individual insurers, because the best choice depends on your city and needs. If we add comparison partners in future, links will be clearly labelled as sponsored or affiliate.
