Latest Car Reviews India: Your Ultimate Guide to New Models

By the Bharat Auto Insights Editorial Team · Last reviewed 17 October 2026

Choosing a car in India comes down to four things: your real budget (on-road, not ex-showroom), how many people you carry, where you drive most, and how safe the car is. Our car coverage is organised around those questions so you can shortlist quickly and test-drive with confidence.

How we approach car reviews

We focus on what matters to Indian owners: ride quality over broken roads, air-conditioning performance in summer, rear-seat comfort, boot space for family trips, service network reach and realistic fuel efficiency in traffic.

Where we have not driven a car ourselves, we say so plainly and base our analysis on manufacturer specifications, official safety test results and published pricing. We never invent test figures.

What to check in every car review

  • On-road price in your city, including registration, insurance and any handling charges.
  • Crash test results from Global NCAP or Bharat NCAP, and the number of airbags across variants.
  • Claimed efficiency (ARAI figure) versus what owners typically report in city use.
  • Service intervals, warranty length and spare-parts availability in your area.
  • Which variant gives the features you actually need — the top trim is rarely the best value.

Start with these guides

If you are buying your first family car, begin with our pick of family cars under ₹10 lakh and the hatchback buyer's guide. If you are weighing a mid-size SUV, our Hyundai Creta versus Kia Seltos comparison explains how two closely related cars differ in practice.

Before you sign

Take a long test drive on roads you use daily, ask for a written on-road quote, and compare insurance quotes independently rather than accepting the dealer's bundled policy by default.
